Bootcamp is an intensive three-day online course in real time with the instructors. It’s held Friday, Saturday, Sunday for four hours a day, geared toward those who are already familiar with the court reporting industry, i.e., transcript proofreaders who would like to learn to proofread in software or how to transition to scoping; court reporters who want to become more proficient editors of their own transcripts; or scopists who have been self-taught and find that their profitability is low and/or would like to branch out into RealTeam.
The course is an apprenticeship-style class followed by an on-the-job training experience. Classes are kept small so students can get plenty of attention from the instructors as well as benefit from learning from fellow students. They are held via online meeting services.
Students will be required to have the software installed and set up per detailed instructions provided by the instructors before the class commences.
Over the three days of instruction, students will be taught how to maximize the use of Case CATalyst software in order to edit court transcripts, enhancing their editing skills and speed without sacrificing quality.
Students will also be taught how to effectively market themselves and build a truly profitable business that matches their lifestyle and goals.
Once the course fee is paid, students will be given instructions to set up for the class. The course fee is $1,199 USD.
